Calvary Youth has four main focuses:
1) The Kingdom of God - We strive to live as citizens of the Kingdom of God in our everyday lives. As our growth in this area is supplemented by our biblical learning and biblical community we hope to be easily recognized as true ambassadors of Christ!
2) Our Local Community - We never want our faith and work for the Kingdom of God to be confined to Sundays and Wednesdays in a classroom or pew... We want to go and make disciples, starting with a service to our local community and moving outwards.
3) The Larger Community - We know that for some of us, God will give us a calling to go far outside of our comfort zone to spread the Gospel. Through the support and admonishment we have within our church community we hope to develop the courage, knowledge, and obedience needed to answer that call!
4) Inward Growth - We recognize that no work for the Kingdom can ever be done effectively without a growth of love within ourselves for Jesus and His teachings. Through our church community we will dive deep into biblical teachings and personal discipleship in order to better love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Calvary Youth meet weekly on Sunday nights from 5:30-7 pm and Wednesday nights from 6:30-8 pm in the gym, with many additional events throughout the year.
The Youth Pastor and Youth Leaders are dedicated to developing and teaching lessons that present the gospel clearly and challenge the Youth to represent Christ well wherever they are. Additionally, giving them plenty of fun by playing games and hanging out with one another before and after the services also helps to develop a very important part of the teaching: authentic biblical community.
